We left Titusville late Tuesday morning and drove to Hudson Florida to have a window repaired at Suncoast Designs. They managed to repair the window late Tuesday so we decided to leave Hudson Wednesday morning heading to Marianna and Florida Caverns. We followed US 19 North toward Tallahassee. It turned out to be a very pleasant ride and we arrived at Arrowhead Campsites early in the afternoon. The RV park nothing fancy dirt roads and grass sites. However the sites are roomy, the park is clean with excellent wifi data speeds. The park is adjacent to a nice stretch of water Merrit's Mill Pond. The pond is approximately 7 miles long and the water was very clear.
This morning we drove to Florida Cavern state park to take a tour. The cavern was originally discovered in 1937 and developed for tourism by the CCC between 1937 AND 1942. the park opened to the public in 1942.The tour of the cavern is about 90 minutes long lots of stalagmites, stalactites, columns, flowstone (cave bacon) and well worth the time.
May look at this area for a rally in the future but on to Biloxi tomorrow
